This November, governments and partners from around the world will gather in Manila for the 2nd Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children.
Childlight is playing a part in that global effort, helping to convene four open events bringing together policymakers, researchers, practitioners, law enforcement, civil society and international partners around a shared goal: using better evidence to help keep children safe.

1. 2026 Into the Light Global Index Launch: From Evidence to Action on Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSEA)
This event will unveil findings from Childlight’s new Into the Light Index on Global CSEA, and foster conversation about how better evidence can drive coordinated national action to prevent CSEA.

2. The Lancet Commission on Violence Against Women and Violence Against Children: What the Latest Evidence Means for Policy and Practice

3. Protecting Children in the Digital Information Environment: Evidence and Policy Action on Social Media and Technology-Facilitated Harm
With the International Panel on the Information Environment, this event will explore emerging scientific evidence on technology-facilitated risks, social media and how evidence can inform effective policy and regulatory action.

4. Strengthening National Law Enforcement Responses to Technology-Facilitated Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse
This event will exploring how stronger intelligence, coordination and evidence-informed practice can help countries identify risk earlier, safeguard children and strengthen national responses. It will also present new evidence from more than 90 countries and territories.
